Dr. Iona Ioanna MD PhD(c) is a specialist Cardiologist-Intensivist and maintains a private practice in Glyfada. She began her medical training at the Hippocratio General Hospital of Athens (GNA Hippocratio), where she completed a 2-year residency in internal medicine and remained for an additional year as a scientific collaborator in the 1st University Cardiology Clinic of GNA "Hippocratio," during which she was designated a doctoral candidate. Since 2013, she has worked in the Cardiology Clinic of GNA "G. Gennimatas," where she completed her specialty training and obtained her board certification. Subsequently, she specialized in Intensive Care Medicine and worked in the ICU of the same hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, she specialized in the latest echocardiographic techniques, including dynamic echocardiography (stress echo) with pharmacologic stress and three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography at GNA "Hippocratio." Dr. Tzanis Georgios MD, PhD, FESC is an Interventional Cardiologist and the Director of the 4th Cardiology Clinic at Metropolitan General. He specializes in coronary artery disease and valvular heart diseases and maintains a private practice in Dafni. He holds a doctorate and graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he also teaches in the postgraduate program "Exercise, Ergospirrometry, and Rehabilitation." He obtained his Cardiology specialty from the "Laiko" University Hospital of Athens. He specialized in interventional cardiology at the "San Raffaele" hospital in Milan, which is among the most renowned centers in Europe and one of the most distinguished worldwide in the field of interventional cardiology. Recently, he was honored with the prestigious title of Cardiologist Representative at the European Society of Cardiology (Interventional Cardiology sector - EAPCI Young Ambassador).
