Προστατίτιδα από Enterococcus faecalis: Επανάληψη εξετάσεων και πρόληψη υποτροπής;
Καλησπέρα σας, Είχα διαγνωστεί με προστατίτιδα από Enterococcus faecalis, μέσω καλλιέργειας ούρων και της εξέτασης Meares-Stamey. Νοσηλεύτηκα για 9 ημέρες τον Νοέμβριο, όπου έλαβα ενδοφλέβια αντιβιοτική αγωγή, και συνέχισα με αντιβίωση από το στόμα για 20 ημέρες. Μέχρι τα τέλη Ιουνίου δεν παρουσίασα συμπτώματα, όμως εδώ και λίγες ημέρες έχουν επιστρέψει ενοχλήσεις παρόμοιες με την προηγούμενη φορά (πόνος στο περίνεο, δυσφορία κλπ). Θα ήθελα να ρωτήσω: Τι πρέπει να κάνω σε αυτή τη φάση; Χρειάζεται επανάληψη της εξέτασης Meares ή απλή καλλιέργεια; Υπάρχει περίπτωση υποτροπής από το ίδιο μικρόβιο; Ποια είναι η καλύτερη προσέγγιση για να αποφευχθεί η χρόνια μορφή;
