Καλησπέρα. Το ASCUS ή άτυπα πλακώδη κύτταρα μη καθορισμένης σημασίας υποδεικνύει την παρουσία κυττάρων με ανωμαλίες στο τεστ Παπ, αλλά δεν μπορούμε να προσδιορίσουμε με βεβαιότητα αν αυτές οφείλονται σε λοίμωξη από HPV ή σε κάποιον άλλο παράγοντα, όπως φλεγμονή ή ερεθισμό. Αυτές οι αλλοιώσεις χρειάζονται περαιτέρω διερεύνηση για να επιβεβαιωθεί η αιτία τους.
Θα ήταν καλό να κάνετε ένα HPV DNA test, ώστε να διαπιστωθεί αν υπάρχει μόλυνση από τύπο HPV υψηλού κινδύνου. Αν το HPV DNA test είναι θετικό, μπορεί να χρειαστείτε και κολποσκόπηση για πιο λεπτομερή έλεγχο.
Δεν χρειάζεται να ανησυχείτε υπερβολικά, καθώς αυτού του είδους τα ευρήμα...τα είναι συχνά και δεν σημαίνουν απαραίτητα κάτι σοβαρό. Είναι όμως σημαντικό να παρακολουθήσετε την κατάσταση με τη βοήθεια ενός γυναικολόγου για να διασφαλιστεί ότι όλα είναι υπό έλεγχο.
