Το ευερέθιστο έντερο δεν εξελίσσεται ποτέ σε τίποτα άλλο. Αλλά ένα άτομο με ή χωρίς ευερέθιστο έντερο μπορεί κάποια στιγμή να παρουσιάσει Crohn ή οποιαδήποτε άλλη πάθηση.

Ξεκάθαρα, όχι. Το ευερέθιστο έντερο είναι λειτουργική διαταραχή και δεν έχει δυναμικό να εξελιχθεί σε οργανική διαταραχή όπως η N. Crohn.
Υπάρχει βέβαια η περίπτωση να θεωρηθεί ότι κάποιος έχει ευερέθιστο έντερο και αργότερα να διαγνωσθεί με άλλη νόσο, π.χ. Crohn. Αυτό όμως δεν είναι εξέλιξη - εξαρχής επρόκειτο για άλλη νόσο και λανθασμένα θεωρήθηκε ευερέθιστο έντερο.Ζιρκόπουλος ΔημήτριοςGastroenterologist
