    Η μαγνητική τομογραφία αποτελεί καλή εξέταση για την ανάδειξη καρκίνου στοματοφάρυγγα. Πρωταρχική βέβαια είναι η ΩΡΛ-εξέταση (πανενδοσκόπηση). Ανάλογα με την έκταση της νόσου ενδέχεται να επηρεάζονται/διηθούνται οστικές δομές.
