Είναι επαρκής η δεύτερη δόση Shingrix μετά από καθυστέρηση ενός έτους;
Καλημέρα σας. Η μητέρα μου έκανε την πρώτη δόση του εμβολίου Shingrix για έρπητα ζωστήρα τον Μάιο 2024, και δεν φρόντισε να κάνει έγκαιρα (εντός εξαμήνου, όπως συστήνεται) τη δεύτερη δόση. Τελικά, έκανε μια δεύτερη δόση τον Ιούνιο 2025. Είναι αυτό επαρκές, ή πρέπει αυτή να θεωρηθεί, πλέον, ως η πρώτη δόση και να κάνει εντός διμήνου (δηλαδή, μέχρι τον Αύγουστο) ακόμη μία δόση? Ευχαριστώ.

Η δεύτερη δόση του Shingrix συνιστάται να γίνεται 2 έως 6 μήνες μετά την πρώτη, για βέλτιστη ανοσολογική απάντηση. Ωστόσο, αν περάσει περισσότερο χρονικό διάστημα, όπως στη δική σας περίπτωση (περίπου 13 μήνες), δεν χρειάζεται να επαναληφθεί ολόκληρη η σειρά.
Σύμφωνα με τις επίσημες οδηγίες του CDC και της κατασκευάστριας εταιρείας, σε περίπτωση σημαντικής καθυστέρησης, η δεύτερη δόση πρέπει απλώς να χορηγείται το συντομότερο δυνατό, χωρίς επανεκκίνηση του σχήματος. Δηλαδή, η δόση του Ιουνίου 2025 θεωρείται κανονικά η δεύτερη, και δεν χρειάζεται τρίτη.
