Καλησπέρα ο πατέρας μου 80 ετών έπαθε έλκος νοσηλευτικές έκανε θεραπεία και ο γιατρός του είπε να παίρνει περναζόλ για πάντα είναι εφικτό αυτό?

Εφικτό είναι αλλά δεν ξέρω αν σίγουρα είναι αναγκαίο. Εξαρτάται από την αιτιολογία του έλκους και τα υπόλοιπα προβλήματα υγείας του πατέρα σας.

Αυτό εξαρτάται από το ιστορικό - ανάλογα με τη βαρύτητα του επεισοδίου, εάν έχει συμβεί στο παρελθόν και εάν υπάρχουν παράγοντες κινδύνου να ξανασυμβεί (πχ λήψη αντιπηκτικών φαρμάκων) αγωγή όπως το Penrazol μπορεί να δοθεί για μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα ή και επ' αόριστον. Από άποψη συχνότητας, δεν είναι κάτι σπάνιο, ασθενείς άνω των 70 να κριθεί ότι χρειάζονται τέτοιο φάρμακο επ' αόριστον.
