Endocrine surgery concerns the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Surgical intervention is performed only upon indications set by the Endocrinologist and with the consent of the Surgeon. The incision made is small and analgesics are not required during the usually one-day hospitalization. In this case, the patient will need to abstain from work for 1 to 2 days.

Proctology Center Dr Anastasios Papadopoulos MD, PhD is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Thessaloniki.
