General surgeons

Ioannis Koutelidakis is a General Surgeon and maintains his private practice in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and fulfilled his rural service in his birthplace, Rethymno, Crete. He began his specialty training in General Surgery at the Air Force Hospital and completed it in April 2004 at the 2nd Surgical Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, after which he was awarded the title of General Surgeon following examinations. The physician has been awarded a PhD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Subsequently, he was appointed Lecturer at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and assigned to the 2nd Surgical Clinic at "G. Gennimatas" Hospital. He has undergone further training in centers domestically and abroad (Scotland, Belgium, France) in laparoscopic surgery. He also attended the Endocrine Surgery Department at Hammersmith Hospital in London for one month and subsequently completed the annual endocrine surgery training program at Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where he received a Master's diploma in endocrine surgery. During the aforementioned program, he trained in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, both classical and minimally invasive, as well as adrenal surgery, both open and laparoscopic. He also gained training in cervical lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer cases. Simultaneously, he trained in cervical and thyroid ultrasonography and fine needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid with ultrasound guidance. Upon his appointment as Lecturer, the physician actively participates in the clinical training of Medical School students in Surgery and the education of General Surgery residents, and he has contributed to Greek and international publications in Greek and international medical journals.

Flamourakis Manthos was born in Heraklion, Crete. He obtained his Medical Degree from the Seconda Universita degli Studi di Napoli. He served his military service at the Naval Hospital of Crete, in the Surgical Department, and subsequently, until the completion of his specialty training, he was trained at the General Hospital of Agios Nikolaos, the Cancer Hospital “Agios Savvas,” and the Venizelio Pananeo Hospital. In 2015, he was awarded the title of surgical specialist. From 2015 to 2022, he worked at the Venizelio Pananeo Hospital as a General Surgeon, performing more than 2,000 surgeries, thereby gaining extensive experience in both emergency and elective cases. In 2021, he was awarded a postgraduate degree from the MSc program “Colorectal Surgery” at the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. Since 2022, he has maintained a private practice where he manages oncological, elective, and emergency cases.

Zafeiris Platon is a General Surgeon maintaining private clinics in Pikermi and Peristeri. He holds a medical degree from the Universita di Medicina e Chirurgia di Bologna in Italy and specialized in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and within the Hellenic Police. He received training in Laparoscopic Surgery, Proctologic Surgery, and laser applications at the Universita di Medicina Torino. He is affiliated with the Medical Centers of Athens and Peristeri, Hygeia Hospital, and Mitera Hospital. Dr. Svoronos Gerasimos is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Cholargos. He has 38 years of surgical experience, having performed a large number of operations. He holds a PhD and a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He served as the Head of the Surgical Department at the General Hospital for Thoracic Diseases of Athens "Sotiria" for 20 consecutive years. During his 20 years at the clinic, he participated in a significant number of surgical procedures.

Stefanou Stefanos is a specialized Endocrine Surgeon, holding the internationally recognized certification Fellow of the European Board of Surgery – Endocrine (FEBS/Endocrine), a title acknowledged across Europe and awarded to surgeons with advanced specialization and expertise in endocrine gland surgery. Vlazakis Stylianos is a Surgeon - Pediatric Surgeon with a private practice in Chania. He is a graduate of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He serves as the Chief Scientific Consultant & Pediatric Surgeon at the Private Clinics of Chania and is an Official Consultant and Collaborator for several Private Insurance companies. Ο Φιστόπουλος Ιωάννης είναι Γενικός Χειρουργός και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Παλαιό Φάληρο. Το 1988 γίνεται δεκτός μετά από εξετάσεις στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Cluz-Napoca στην Ρουμανία (U.M.F. Cluz-Napoca). Μετά την αποφοίτηση του το 1994, ακολουθεί μέσα από μια σειρά εξετάσεων η λήψη άδειας επαγγέλματος κ η λήψη του τίτλου Medicin Docteur (MD). Το 1995 και για δεκαοκτώ μήνες υπηρετεί την στρατιωτική του θητεία ως οπλίτης ιατρός σε Ελληνική Μονάδα του εξωτερικού με καθήκοντα συντονιστή ιατρού του στρατοπέδου και των επιμέρους μονάδων του. Τερματίζει την θητεία του με εύφημο μνεία από το 401 Γενικό Στρατιωτικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών. Τον Ιούλιο του 1997 και για 12 μήνες εκπληρώνει την υπηρεσία υπαίθρου στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ικαρίας ως ιατρός, εκτελώντας εφημερίες και λαμβάνοντας μέρος σε όλες τις ιατρικές λειτουργίες του νοσοκομείου και κυρίως στην χειρουργική κλινική του νοσοκομείου υπό την καθοδήγηση του κ.Λεωνιδα Σιδέρη, Διευθυντή της χειρουργικής κλινικής του νοσοκομείου. Μετέπειτα, ξεκινά την εκπαίδευση του για την απόκτηση της ειδικότητος της χειρουργικής στο Γενικό Αντικαρκινικό Νοσοκομείο Πειραιά “Μεταξά”, στη Β΄ Χειρουργική Ογκολογική κλινική. Υπό την καθοδήγηση του αείμνηστου Δ/ντου κ.Ευλογημένου πήρε μέρος σε πολλά και διαφορετικής βαρύτητας ογκολογικά χειρουργεία. He is a Professor of Surgery at the European University of Cyprus and the Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Clinic at Iatriko Paleo Faliro. He holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a graduate of the same institution’s Medical School. Additionally, he holds diplomas in Laparoscopic Surgery, Ultrasound, and Ultrasonographic Techniques from the University of Strasbourg, a diploma in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery from Paris XI University, and a diploma in Colorectal and Anal Surgery from Paris Diderot - Paris VII University.
