Dr. Liosis Christos is a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon. He qualified as doctor from University of Birmingham West Midlands in 2000 and has worked for the NHS for the better part of twelve years in several specialties and positions and lived in the United Kingdom a total of 18 years. His special interests include gallbladder disease and hepatobiliary disorders in general as well as benign anorectal disorders along with laparoscopic General Surgery. He has a thorough knowledge of English language and culture and will be happy to provide his assistance to English speaking patients and UK nationals.

The Surgical Clinic Nisotakis K. & X is located in Rafina and consists of the General Surgeons Dr. Konstantinos Nisotakis MD and Dr. Christos Nisotakis MD. The physicians collaborate with many large private centers and hospitals in Athens. Ο Φιστόπουλος Ιωάννης είναι Γενικός Χειρουργός και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Παλαιό Φάληρο. Το 1988 γίνεται δεκτός μετά από εξετάσεις στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Cluz-Napoca στην Ρουμανία (U.M.F. Cluz-Napoca). Μετά την αποφοίτηση του το 1994, ακολουθεί μέσα από μια σειρά εξετάσεων η λήψη άδειας επαγγέλματος κ η λήψη του τίτλου Medicin Docteur (MD). Τον Ιούλιο του 1997 και για 12 μήνες εκπληρώνει την υπηρεσία υπαίθρου στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ικαρίας ως ιατρός, εκτελώντας εφημερίες και λαμβάνοντας μέρος σε όλες τις ιατρικές λειτουργίες του νοσοκομείου και κυρίως στην χειρουργική κλινική του νοσοκομείου υπό την καθοδήγηση του κ.Λεωνιδα Σιδέρη, Διευθυντή της χειρουργικής κλινικής του νοσοκομείου. Μετέπειτα, ξεκινά την εκπαίδευση του για την απόκτηση της ειδικότητος της χειρουργικής στο Γενικό Αντικαρκινικό Νοσοκομείο Πειραιά “Μεταξά”, στη Β΄ Χειρουργική Ογκολογική κλινική. Υπό την καθοδήγηση του αείμνηστου Δ/ντου κ.Ευλογημένου πήρε μέρος σε πολλά και διαφορετικής βαρύτητας ογκολογικά χειρουργεία. Συνεχίζει την εκπαίδευση του στην Α’ Χειρουργική Κλινική του Νοσοκομείου Ν.Ε.Ε.Σ “Ερυθρός Σταυρός” υπό την καθοδήγηση και συνεχή εκπαίδευση του καθηγητή χειρουργικής Εμμ.Τιερή, Δ/ντή της κλινικής, παράλληλα λαμβάνει μέρος στην καθημερινή λειτουργία και στο εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα της μονάδος λαπαροσκοπικής χειρουργικής η οποία αποτελούσε αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της Α΄ Χειρουργικής Κλινικής με επιβλέποντα Δ/ντη τον κ Β.Λαοπόδη. Το 2004 τερματίζει την εκπαιδευτική πορεία του, έχοντας λάβει μέρος σε πλήθος χειρουργικών επεμβάσεων και ως βοηθός αλλά και ως χειρουργός. Vasileios Mermigkas is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Ilioupoli. He is a graduate and honored PhD of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He completed his specialty in General Surgery at the Athens Children's General Hospital "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou" and at the Athens General Hospital "Laiko," where he was introduced to and trained in the then new technique of Laparoscopic surgery. He received additional training in this technique by attending advanced seminars both in Greece and abroad. Furthermore, he has valuable experience in endocrine gland surgery, oncological surgery of the gastrointestinal system, digestive system endoscopy, and vascular surgery. Finally, the doctor has participated in numerous research programs, presented their results at international conferences, and has published studies and articles in reputable Greek and international scientific journals.

Dr. Svoronos Gerasimos is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Cholargos. He has 38 years of surgical experience, having performed a large number of operations. He holds a PhD and a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He served as the Head of the Surgical Department at the General Hospital for Thoracic Diseases of Athens "Sotiria" for 20 consecutive years. During his 20 years at the clinic, he participated in a significant number of surgical procedures.

Alifragkis Aleksandros is a General Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Vrilissia. He holds a medical degree from the University of Padova in Italy and specialized in General Surgery at the Attikon General Hospital "Sismanogleio" in Athens. The doctor specializes in laparoscopic tissue suturing and has attended training seminars organized by the Hellenic Surgical Society for several years. Dr. Napoleon Xirokostas is a board-certified General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Laparoscopic, Robotic, and Oncologic Surgery. He maintains a private medical office in Rafina, Greece, and also serves as a Consultant Surgeon at the 1st Surgical Department of IASO General Hospital in Athens.

He completed his residency in General Surgery at Evangelismos General Hospital of Athens, the largest tertiary care and trauma center in Greece, where he also held the position of Chief Resident. Over the course of his training, he participated in more than 1,000 surgical procedures, including a wide spectrum of emergency, oncologic, and minimally invasive surgeries.

Dr. Xirokostas holds a Medical Degree (MD) from the Democritus University of Thrace and a Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He completed his mandatory rural medical service at the General Hospital of Kyparissia and previously served in the Greek Army as a General Medicine Doctor, providing medical assessments and basic life support instruction.

He has received extensive training in trauma surgery (DSTC), laparoscopic and robotic techniques, microsurgery, and emergency abdominal procedures. He is certified in ATLS, ALS, and has participated in numerous specialized surgical workshops and cadaveric dissection courses across Europe.

Dr. Xirokostas has an active academic presence, with several peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international surgical congresses.

Georgopoulos Nikolaos is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Mavili Square and in Sparta. From 2012 until 2023, he served as Director of the 2nd Surgical Clinic at the Naval Hospital of Athens, and he is currently the Director of the Surgical Clinic at Mediterraneo Hospital. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his specialization in General Surgery in 1996, having trained at the Naval Hospitals of Crete and Athens, as well as at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," where he received training in trauma, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, endocrine gland surgery, bariatric surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and organ transplantation. Overall (including surgeries performed in private clinics), he has operated on over 7,500 patients. In the intervening periods, he completed further training abroad in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, and Brazil. In his latest training in lower rectal cancer, he had the opportunity to successfully perform laparoscopic surgery (including TaTME), preserving the sphincters and anus and avoiding permanent colostomy. He has also been trained in Robotic Surgery. Finally, with over 20 years of experience, he co-organizes Greek and international conferences, keeping up with and contributing to advancements in surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and bariatric surgery.

Andreas Tellos is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Chalandri. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens and has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, Dr. Tellos serves as an auxiliary surgeon at the Lavrio Health Center and actively participates in the on-call program and regular surgeries of the 2nd Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens “Sismanoglio.” He has worked as a resident and attending physician in the Surgical Clinic of “Sismanoglio,” and has also worked as a private physician in private clinics and diagnostic centers. Perrakis Euaggelos MD, PhD is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Aigaleo. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He collaborates with various private healthcare facilities in Athens, such as the Athens Medical Center, and was the first to introduce the technique of complete mesocolic excision (CME) for the surgical treatment of colon cancer in Greece. He has taught at the University of Düsseldorf in Germany and has worked for over 10 years in major surgical centers in Germany. Additionally, he developed his own techniques for the repair of inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, and Spigelian hernias, which have been accepted by the European and global surgical communities. Ioanna Papadopoulou is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Cholargos and Glyfada. She performs exclusively laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant conditions of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder and bile ducts, as well as all types of abdominal wall hernias. She received her Medical Degree from the “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi in 2012. She completed her rural service at the General Hospital of Messinia – Kyparissia Nursing Unit in 2013–2014. In 2021, she obtained her surgical specialty certification.

During her specialty training, she served at the 417 Army Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S), where she specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery for malignant colon diseases, obesity, reflux, and hernias, as well as thyroid malignancies. Additionally, at the Sismanogleio General Hospital of Athens, she participated in a large volume of colon and thyroid cancer surgeries. Considering that the present of surgery lies in laparoscopic and robotic techniques, she attended advanced laparoscopic seminars organized by ELPEN under the auspices of the Hellenic Surgical Society from 2016 to 2018.

In 2021, she completed further training in Surgical Oncology, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, in 2023, she received additional training in the latest methods for managing complex diaphragmatic hernias and reflux at the Symposium on Innovation in Surgery in Malta.

Pantelis Athanasios MD, MSc (QMUL), FMBS, SCOPE Cert., FACS, is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Ilion. He specializes in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and holds two postgraduate degrees from Queen Mary University of London and the Medical School of Athens. He has received specialized training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery as well as in obesity and metabolic disease surgery, having trained at the prestigious Mohak centers in India and Ponderas in Romania as a fellow of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES). He has gained experience in hospitals in Greece and abroad, having served as a Consultant Surgeon in hospitals in Bucharest and India. Currently, he is a Consultant Surgeon at the Psychiko Medical Center and a Scientific Collaborator at the 1st Propaedeutic Surgical Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at the General Hospital of Athens "Hippocrates." He maintains an active research portfolio, is an author and reviewer for international medical journals, and regularly participates in international conferences and educational programs. Anastasakou Kornilia MD, FEBS (Breast Surgery) is a Mastologist - Oncological Breast Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Ampelokipoi. She holds a medical degree and was a scholar at the Universities of Munich and Berlin. She specialized in modern mastology and breast surgery, with an emphasis on oncoplastic breast-conserving and reconstructive techniques at the accredited Breast Centers St. Marienkrankenhaus Frankfurt and Bethesda Krankenhaus Düsseldorf. She holds the European Certification in Breast Surgery (FEBS-Breast Surgery). Since 2005, she was among the first to introduce oncoplastic breast-conserving techniques with good aesthetic outcomes in Greece. She has been invited to teach these techniques to younger colleagues and has repeatedly published her results (both aesthetic and oncological). In 2013, her work on oncoplastic surgery was awarded by the Hellenic Society of Breast Surgery as the first in Greece with oncological outcomes. She has extensive experience in core needle biopsy, which helps avoid unnecessary surgeries. Currently, Dr. Anastasakou Kornilia is the Director Breast Surgeon at Athens Medical Center in Marousi.

Zafeiris Platon is a General Surgeon maintaining private clinics in Pikermi and Peristeri. Kyziridis Dimitrios is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Thessaloniki. He holds a PhD from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.).
