Αργύριος Λ. Ιωαννίδης MD, PhD, FACS, FASCRS - Γενικός Χειρουργός

Είναι Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Είναι Fellow μετά από κρίση του American College of Surgeons (ACS) και του American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS). Έχει διατελέσει εκπρόσωπος των νέων χειρουργών παχέος εντέρου και ορθού της Ευρώπης στην Επιτροπή Μελών του European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP). Έχει εκπαιδευτεί στο Μιλάνο και στη Βιέννη στις τεχνικές TransAnal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) και σε όλες τις νεότερες τεχνικές αντιμετώπισης περιεδρικών συριγγίων αντίστοιχα. Το ερευνητικό του ενδιαφέρον αφορά κυρίως τον καρκίνο του ορθού, τη χειρουργική υπό φθορίζουσες ουσίες και τα μεσο-μακροπρόθεσμα αποτελέσματα της λαπαροσκοπικής και ρομποτικής χειρουργικής στις παθήσεις παχέος εντέρου και ορθού. Έχει διατελέσει υπεύθυνος για την Ελλάδα σε περισσότερες από 10 διεθνείς πολυκεντρικές μελέτες με τις αντίστοιχες δημοσιεύσεις σε περιοδικά μεγάλου κύρους όπως τα Lancet, Anaesthesia και British Journal of Surgery. Είναι κριτής σε 11 περιοδικά χειρουργικής και μέλος του εκδοτικού συμβουλίου στα Nature Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Surgery και Colorectal Disease. Έχει συγγράψει πάνω από 120 άρθρα-δημοσιεύσεις σε ξενόγλωσσα περιοδικά με περισσότερες από 2500 αναφορές. Επίσης έχει συμμετάσχει ως ομιλητής σε περισσότερα από 20 Ελληνικά και Διεθνή Συνέδρια και έχει γράψει 2 κεφάλαια συγγραμμάτων χειρουργικής.

Perrakis Euaggelos MD, PhD is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Aigaleo. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He collaborates with various private healthcare facilities in Athens, such as the Athens Medical Center, and was the first to introduce the technique of complete mesocolic excision (CME) for the surgical treatment of colon cancer in Greece. He has taught at the University of Düsseldorf in Germany and has worked for over 10 years in major surgical centers in Germany. Additionally, he developed his own techniques for the repair of inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, and Spigelian hernias, which have been accepted by the European and global surgical communities. In his private practice, he provides high-level services in laparoscopic surgery, oncological surgery, and hernia repair surgery, as well as for the treatment of diseases of the colon and digestive system, liver, biliary tract, pancreas, thyroid, endocrine glands, and adrenal glands. He has a significant scientific contribution, with publications and presentations at medical conferences, as well as authorship of books for medical professionals and the general public.

Georgopoulos Nikolaos is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Mavili Square and in Sparta. From 2012 until 2023, he served as Director of the 2nd Surgical Clinic at the Naval Hospital of Athens, and he is currently the Director of the Surgical Clinic at Mediterraneo Hospital. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his specialization in General Surgery in 1996, having trained at the Naval Hospitals of Crete and Athens, as well as at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," where he received training in trauma, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, endocrine gland surgery, bariatric surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and organ transplantation. In the intervening periods, he completed further training abroad in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, and Brazil. In his latest training in lower rectal cancer, he had the opportunity to successfully perform laparoscopic surgery (including TaTME), preserving the sphincters and anus and avoiding permanent colostomy. He has also been trained in Robotic Surgery. Finally, with over 20 years of experience, he co-organizes Greek and international conferences, keeping up with and contributing to advancements in surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and bariatric surgery.

Georgios Bpagias is a General Surgeon, PhD holder from the Medical School of Athens. He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

In his clinical practice, he manages general surgery cases covering a broad spectrum, from minor procedures and routine laparoscopic surgeries to specialized colorectal and pelvic floor surgeries. His primary concern is responsible and evidence-based consultation on all surgical issues, aiming for appropriate guidance and making safe therapeutic decisions.

He maintains active scientific involvement, participating predominantly as a speaker and trainer in international, as well as pan-European and Greek scientific conferences. Additionally, he is the author of numerous scientific publications in international journals indexed in PubMed, reflecting his continuous engagement with scientific documentation and the advancement of surgery.

His philosophy is based on the proper and personalized evaluation of each case, evidence-based decision-making, and the avoidance of unnecessary surgeries when not required. Special emphasis is placed on clear, honest, and understandable communication with the patient, to ensure active participation in the therapeutic process and to foster a sense of safety and trust.

Ioannis Koutelidakis is a General Surgeon and maintains his private practice in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and fulfilled his rural service in his birthplace, Rethymno, Crete. He began his specialty training in General Surgery at the Air Force Hospital and completed it in April 2004 at the 2nd Surgical Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, after which he was awarded the title of General Surgeon following examinations. The physician has been awarded a PhD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Subsequently, he was appointed Lecturer at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and assigned to the 2nd Surgical Clinic at "G. Gennimatas" Hospital. He has undergone further training in centers domestically and abroad (Scotland, Belgium, France) in laparoscopic surgery. He also attended the Endocrine Surgery Department at Hammersmith Hospital in London for one month and subsequently completed the annual endocrine surgery training program at Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where he received a Master's diploma in endocrine surgery. During the aforementioned program, he trained in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, both classical and minimally invasive, as well as adrenal surgery, both open and laparoscopic. He also gained training in cervical lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer cases. Simultaneously, he trained in cervical and thyroid ultrasonography and fine needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid with ultrasound guidance. Upon his appointment as Lecturer, the physician actively participates in the clinical training of Medical School students in Surgery and the education of General Surgery residents, and he has contributed to Greek and international publications in Greek and international medical journals.

Ο Φιστόπουλος Ιωάννης είναι Γενικός Χειρουργός και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Παλαιό Φάληρο. Το 1988 γίνεται δεκτός μετά από εξετάσεις στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Cluz-Napoca στην Ρουμανία (U.M.F. Cluz-Napoca). Μετά την αποφοίτηση του το 1994, ακολουθεί μέσα από μια σειρά εξετάσεων η λήψη άδειας επαγγέλματος κ η λήψη του τίτλου Medicin Docteur (MD). Το 1995 και για δεκαοκτώ μήνες υπηρετεί την στρατιωτική του θητεία ως οπλίτης ιατρός σε Ελληνική Μονάδα του εξωτερικού με καθήκοντα συντονιστή ιατρού του στρατοπέδου και των επιμέρους μονάδων του. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. From 2002 to 2012, he served as a surgical consultant in hospitals in the UK, Australia, Belgium, and Greece. Specifically, he worked at the following hospitals in the UK: North Middlesex, Arrowe Park, Derriford, Torbay, Exeter, Cheltenham, and North Bristol, as well as at Sir Charles Gairdner University Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Sotiria Hospital in Athens (as Senior Consultant).During the same period, he received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, UK, and Heilighart Ziekenhuis in Roeselare, Belgium.From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the following hospitals in the UK: Ealing Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, John Radcliffe & Churchill Hospitals in Oxford, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
