Vasileios Mermigkas is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Ilioupoli. He is a graduate and honored PhD of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He completed his specialty in General Surgery at the Athens Children's General Hospital "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou" and at the Athens General Hospital "Laiko," where he was introduced to and trained in the then new technique of Laparoscopic surgery. He received additional training in this technique by attending advanced seminars both in Greece and abroad. Ioumpas Leon is a General Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Kolonos. He graduated from the Medical School of Cluj Napoca in Romania and obtained his specialty in general surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," in the 3rd Surgical Clinic - Laparoscopic Unit. Currently, he is a Scientific Collaborator at Hygeia Hospital, the "Eugenideio" Therapeutic Center, the "Attiko Therapeutic Center," as well as the private hospital "Mitera." Dr. Theodoropoulos Dionysios is a General Surgeon with 19 years of extensive experience in a wide range of surgical procedures, including both laparoscopic and open methods. He specializes in laparoscopic excision of the pilonidal cyst, the management and treatment of hemorrhoids, and cholecystectomy procedures. He holds a Diploma of License (MD) from the Medical School of "Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie GR T POPA" and has obtained medical practice licenses in Greece, Sweden, Spain, and Romania. During his General Surgery specialization, he completed advanced training in the Vascular Surgery Department at Konstantopouleio General Hospital and in the Plastic Surgery Department at the Oncology Hospital of Ag. Anargyroi. At Konstantopouleio General Hospital, he served as the primary surgeon or first surgical assistant in a wide range of laparoscopic and open surgical procedures. He has worked in the Emergency Department and was responsible for postoperative monitoring and treatment of patients with liver and pancreatic cancer. He manages numerous cases by leveraging his scientific expertise and extensive experience, always focusing on providing the best possible care tailored to the individual needs of each patient he treats.

Ntourakis Dimitrios MD, PhD, FACS is a General Surgeon maintaining a private practice in Paleo Faliro. He is a Professor of Surgery at the European University of Cyprus and the Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Clinic at Iatriko Paleo Faliro. He holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a graduate of the same institution’s Medical School. Additionally, he holds diplomas in Laparoscopic Surgery, Ultrasound, and Ultrasonographic Techniques from the University of Strasbourg, a diploma in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery from Paris XI University, and a diploma in Colorectal and Anal Surgery from Paris Diderot - Paris VII University. It is also noteworthy that he graduated from the Surgical Leadership Program at the Harvard Medical School. He initially specialized at Korgialeneio - Benakeio Hospital of the Hellenic Red Cross and subsequently continued his training at the University of Strasbourg, France, where he later served as Chef de Clinique des Universités. Finally, he has participated in numerous conferences and courses and has an extensive number of publications in international scientific journals. He is a member of scientific associations and societies in Greece and abroad.

Georgios Bpagias is a General Surgeon, PhD holder from the Medical School of Athens. He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

In his clinical practice, he manages general surgery cases covering a broad spectrum, from minor procedures and routine laparoscopic surgeries to specialized colorectal and pelvic floor surgeries. His primary concern is responsible and evidence-based consultation on all surgical issues, aiming for appropriate guidance and making safe therapeutic decisions.

He maintains active scientific involvement, participating predominantly as a speaker and trainer in international, as well as pan-European and Greek scientific conferences. Additionally, he is the author of numerous scientific publications in international journals indexed in PubMed, reflecting his continuous engagement with scientific documentation and the advancement of surgery.

His philosophy is based on the proper and personalized evaluation of each case, evidence-based decision-making, and the avoidance of unnecessary surgeries when not required. Special emphasis is placed on clear, honest, and understandable communication with the patient, to ensure active participation in the therapeutic process and to foster a sense of safety and trust.

Ioanna Papadopoulou is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Cholargos and Glyfada. She performs exclusively laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant conditions of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder and bile ducts, as well as all types of abdominal wall hernias. She received her Medical Degree from the “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi in 2012. She completed her rural service at the General Hospital of Messinia – Kyparissia Nursing Unit in 2013–2014. In 2021, she obtained her surgical specialty certification.

During her specialty training, she served at the 417 Army Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S), where she specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery for malignant colon diseases, obesity, reflux, and hernias, as well as thyroid malignancies. Additionally, at the Sismanogleio General Hospital of Athens, she participated in a large volume of colon and thyroid cancer surgeries. Considering that the present of surgery lies in laparoscopic and robotic techniques, she attended advanced laparoscopic seminars organized by ELPEN under the auspices of the Hellenic Surgical Society from 2016 to 2018.

In 2021, she completed further training in Surgical Oncology, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, in 2023, she received additional training in the latest methods for managing complex diaphragmatic hernias and reflux at the Symposium on Innovation in Surgery in Malta.

O Αθανάσιος Ξάκης γεννήθηκε στον Πολύγυρο Χαλκιδικής στις 22 Ιανουαρίου του 1994. Φοίτησε με αθλητική και ακολούθως μαθητική υποτροφία στο λύκειο των Εκπαιδευτηρίων Μαντουλίδη από όπου και τελικώς αποφοίτησε με άριστα το 2011. Κατά τη διάρκεια της μαθητικής του πορείας έλαβε αποδοχές και υποτροφίες για φοίτηση σε διακεκριμένα πανεπιστήμια των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών της Αμερικής και του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. 

Σπούδασε Ιατρική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Ιωαννίνων. Κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών του υπήρξε μέλος του Εργαστηρίου Ανατομίας, υπεύθυνος για την εκπαίδευση και την ένταξη νέων φοιτητών ιατρικής καθώς επίσης συμμετείχε σε πληθώρα σεμιναρίων και παρουσιάσεων σε διεθνή συνέδρια. 

Μετά το πέρας των σπουδών του πραγματοποίησε Κλινική Άσκηση στη Χειρουργική στο Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada στην Yogyakarta της Ινδονησίας καθώς επίσης και Κλινική Άσκηση στην Αγγειοχειρουργική στο University Medical Centre Utrecht στην Ουτρέχτη της Ολλανδίας. 

Εργάστηκε ως ειδικευόμενος Χειρουργικής στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Σερρών για 2 έτη και στη συνέχεια στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης Γ. Παπαγεωργίου για 4 έτη, από όπου και έλαβε τον τίτλο ειδικότητας. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητας του συμμετείχε και σε πληθώρα χειρουργείων ως βοηθός χειρουργός του Τμήματος Χειρουργικής Ήπατος Χοληφόρων-Παγκρέατος της Κλινικής Άγιος Λουκάς, στο Πανόραμα Θεσσαλονίκης. 

Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της ειδικότητας μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στη Χειρουργική Ήπατος, Χοληφόρων, Παγκρέατος & Μεταμοσχεύσεων Ήπατος στο Organ Transplantation Center, China Medical University Hospital στην Taichung της Ταϊβάν. 

Από τον Αύγουστο του 2025 εργάζεται ως Επιμελητής Χειρουργός στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης Γ. Παπανικολάου ενώ παράλληλα αποτελεί Συνεργάτη Χειρουργό της Κλινικής Άγιος Λουκάς. 

Είναι μέλος του Ιατρικού Συλλόγου Θεσσαλονίκης, ενώ υπήρξε και μέλος Οργανωτικών Επιτροπών μεγάλου αριθμού τοπικών και διεθνών Συνεδρίων και Ημερίδων. 

Είναι κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης στη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία του Πεπτικού Συστήματος του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστήμιου Θεσσαλονίκης και υποψήφιος κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης στον Καρκίνο του Παγκρέατος του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας.

Έχει παρακολουθήσει πληθώρα σεμιναρίων και συνεδρίων τόσο διεθνών όσο και του εξωτερικού, έχει παρουσιάσει ως ομιλητής σημαντικό αριθμό προφορικών ανακοινώσεων με αντίστοιχες τιμητικές διακρίσεις και βραβεία ενώ έχει συμμετάσχει και στη δημοσίευση επιστημονικών άρθρων σε διακεκριμένα περιοδικά του εξωτερικού.

Alivizatos Vasileios MD, PhD is a general surgeon, Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Patras, and former Coordinating Director of the Surgical Clinic at the General Hospital of Patras "Saint Andrew," where he served for a total of 36 years as a specialized surgeon. During his career, he received advanced training in liver-biliary-pancreatic surgery in Bern, Switzerland; new hernia repair techniques in Mechelen, Belgium; and Artificial Nutrition (Parenteral, Enteral) in Manchester, United Kingdom. He has attended numerous advanced training seminars in the USA and has participated in 139 medical conferences (74 in Greece, 65 abroad, mainly Europe, USA, Asia), presenting scientific clinical studies as well as delivering lectures and talks upon invitation by medical societies. Furthermore, he has 124 publications of clinical studies in Greek and international medical journals and books, with 4 of his published studies in international medical journals cited 119 times in studies by foreign authors (citation index). He has extensive experience in surgical procedures of minor and moderate severity (hernias, pilonidal cyst, lipomas, biliary diseases, anal conditions, etc.), as well as major surgeries (benign and malignant diseases of the stomach, small and large intestine, kidney, uterus, ovaries) and benign and malignant diseases of the pancreas (chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic tumors, pancreaticoduodenectomies Whipple). Currently, he practices in the private sector, covering the full spectrum of general surgery as well as Artificial Nutrition (Parenteral and Enteral, gastrostomies, enterostomies) for patients with chronic conditions who are unable to be fed orally.

Voulgaris Sotiris is a General Surgeon with a private practice located in Ilisia. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Ioannina and holds a postgraduate diploma in Minor Pelvic and Perineal Surgery from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. Additionally, he has completed postgraduate studies in Surgical Oncology at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is currently working as a Surgeon - Consultant at the Athens Medical Center. Dr. Ioannis Virlos is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Glyfada. He graduated from the Medical School of Alexandroupolis, Democritus University of Thrace, obtaining his medical degree in 1990. In 2000, he earned a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences (MSc in Surgical Sciences) as well as a Diploma from Imperial College London (Diploma Imperial College), United Kingdom. In 2009, he was awarded a Doctorate (Medical Doctorate) from the University of Manchester, UK.He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd.) since 1998 and of the Intercollegiate Board in Surgery of the United Kingdom (FRCS (Gen Surg)) since 2008. Since 2011, he has been a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in the field of Colorectal Surgery (FEBS (Coloproctology)).Dr Ioannis Virlos is a specialized colorectal and bariatric surgeon, also trained in minimally invasive surgery — both laparoscopic and robotic. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. From 2002 to 2012, he served as a surgical consultant in hospitals in the UK, Australia, Belgium, and Greece. Specifically, he worked at the following hospitals in the UK: North Middlesex, Arrowe Park, Derriford, Torbay, Exeter, Cheltenham, and North Bristol, as well as at Sir Charles Gairdner University Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Sotiria Hospital in Athens (as Senior Consultant).During the same period, he received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, UK, and Heilighart Ziekenhuis in Roeselare, Belgium.From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the following hospitals in the UK: Ealing Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, John Radcliffe & Churchill Hospitals in Oxford, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He returned to Greece in 2021.Since 2023, Mr. Virlos has been the Director of Surgery at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens. He also serves as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology. Finally, for the period 2025–2028, he will represent Greece at the European Society of Coloproctology.

Konstantinidou Eleutheria is a General Surgeon. She holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Debrecen in Hungary. She is a fellow of the Hellenic Surgical Society for advanced training abroad in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at the Institute de Chirurgie Laparoscopique MSPB Bagatelle in Bordeaux, France. After completing her mandatory rural service at the General Hospital - Health Center of Molai, Laconia, she specialized subsequently at the General Hospital of Attica "Sismanoglio". Dr. Konstantinidou has served as Consultant Surgeon in Vascular Surgery at the Euroclinic of Athens and as Assistant Consultant Surgeon B’ at the General Hospital of Athens "Elpis," while for many years she was Consultant Surgeon B’ and subsequently Consultant Surgeon A at the General Hospital of Livadeia. She has participated in numerous conferences in Greece and abroad and has attended dozens of advanced training seminars. Finally, she has numerous publications in both international and Greek journals, and her work has been awarded by Panhellenic Surgical Conferences.
