Dr. Athiana Ilektra is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and maintains her private practice in Thessaloniki. She studied Medicine at Democritus University of Thrace. Subsequently, she specialized in Pediatrics in Sweden and further specialized in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University Hospitals of Uppsala in Sweden as well as Basel in Switzerland. She has served as Senior Registrar A in the Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic at the Pediatric University Hospital of Uppsala and also has professional experience as an assistant physician in the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the same University Hospital. She collaborates with the Saint Lukas Clinic, the General Clinic of Thessaloniki, and is a Scientific Associate of the 3rd Pediatric Clinic of Aristotle University (Hippokration Hospital of Thessaloniki). She is a member of the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) endoscopy teaching faculty and maintains active collaborations with foreign hospitals.
