Zagorianakos Antonios MD is a Nephrologist with private practices in Melissia and Ampelokipoi. He studied at the Medical Schools of Belgium and Italy and graduated in 2002 with honors. He is the Director of the Nephrology Clinic and the Artificial Kidney Unit at the BioClinic of Athens (Bioiatriki Group) and an external collaborator at the Private Hospital Mitera of the Hygeia Group. During his basic studies, he actively participated in oncological chemotherapy protocols, from which he completed his thesis titled "Chemotherapy treatment in patients with advanced gastric cancer." Subsequently, he enriched his research experience in oncological protocols during a six-month tenure as an external collaborator at the oncology cancer unit of the University General Hospital - Maternity Hospital of Athens "Elena Venizelou." He completed his Nephrology specialty at one of the largest hospitals in Athens, the Red Cross Hospital - "Korgialeneio-Benakio" Hospital. During his specialty, he developed extensive educational activities in clinical Nephrology and Hemodialysis through lectures, studies, free communications, and publications, both in Greek and international conferences, aiming for continuous and thorough professional development. He acquired the skill and proficiency in placing central venous hemodialysis lines as well as performing percutaneous kidney biopsies.
