Η ρινική βαλβίδα είναι η γωνία που σχηματίζεται από το ρινικό διάφραγμα και το πλάγιο χόνδρινο τμήμα της μύτης. Παίζει σπουδαίο ρόλο στη ρινική αναπνοή η οποία επίσης όμως επηρεάζεται και από το μέγεθος της κάτω ρινικής κόγχης. Η επέμβαση για τη βελτίωση της ρινικής αναπνοής μπορεί να περιλαμβάνει ευθειασμό του ρινικού διαφράγματος, σμίκρυνση των κάτω ρινικών κογχών ή και λειτουργική ρινοπλαστική για τη βελτίωση της ρινικής βαλβίδας. Άρα για να σας απαντήσω, γίνεται και στη χώρα μας η λειτουργική ρινοπλαστική.
