I was prescribed rificol 2x a day for 10 days to prevent diverticulitis crisis. I am 83. Can't remember if it is 2x2 pills or just one. 200mg could 7 days be effective enough?

1x1 is a small dose not intented for diverticulitis even as prophylaxis.
On the other hand the actual dose one needs depends on his situation. For a suspected mild diverticulitis the dose is 2x2 for start.
