Καλησπέρα σας,
οι αλλοιώσεις παρακεράτωσης που μπορεί να εμφανιστούν σε ένα τεστ Παπανικολάου (Τεστ ΠΑΠ) συνήθως δείχνουν πάχυνση της επιφανειακής στιβάδας των κυττάρων. Αυτό από μόνο του δεν σημαίνει απαραίτητα κάτι κακό ή καρκινικό, αλλά μπορεί να σχετίζεται με:
• χρόνιο ερεθισμό ή φλεγμονή,
• λοίμωξη από τον ιό HPV,
• καλοήθεις μεταβολές του τραχηλικού επιθηλίου.
Γι’ αυτό ο γιατρός συνήθως προτείνει επαναληπτικό έλεγχο, HPV test ή κολποσκόπηση, ώστε να υπάρχει πλήρης εικόνα και να αποκλειστεί οποιαδήποτε παθολογική εξέλιξη.
