Έως 6 με 8 ώρες πριν την γαστροσκοπηση μπορείτε να καταναλώσετε κανονικά κάποιο γεύμα και υγρά έως 4 ώρες πριν την εξέταση.

Για τη γαστροσκόπηση επαρκεί μια νηστεία 6 ωρών από στερεά τροφή, εκτός εάν υπάρχει γνωστή διαταραχή μειωμένης κινητικότητας του στομάχου. Επομένως, 12 ώρες πριν τη γαστροσκόπηση μπορείτε να φάτε το συνηθισμένο σας γεύμα.
