Διόγκωση αδένα Skene σε γυναίκα 51 ετών με ορμονοθεραπεία: MRI vs υπέρηχος
Αδένας του Skene Γυναίκα 51 ετών, με ορμονοθεραπεία εδώ και 2 έτη: Υπερηχογραφικά, εντοπίζεται διόγκωση παραουρηθρικού αδένα του Skene 16x12mm, ο οποίος μίκρυνε κατόπιν 9μήνου σε 12×7mm. Κλινικά, ψηλαφείται "μάζα" εντός του κόλπου, που προκαλεί ενόχληση κατά την ψηλάφηση και κάποιες φορές και πόνο κατά την επαφή. Διενεργήθηκε MRI η οποία αναγράφει πως δεν παρατηρείται διόγκωση του αδένα του Skene, αλλά "δίνεται η εντύπωση ελαφριάς πάχυνσης του τοιχώματος της ουρήθρας". Είναι δυνατόν κύστη στον αδένα του Skene να μην φαίνεται στη μαγνητική και να φαίνεται μόνο στον υπέρηχο; Και τι είναι αυτή η πάχυνση της ουρήθρας;; Μήπως είναι αυτό και η μαγνητική το έπιασε έτσι; Χρειάζεται περαιτέρω έλεγχος; Ή να καθησυχαστώ επειδή μίκρυνε σε μέγεθος;; Ευχαριστώ.

Στη μαγνητική απεικονίζονται οι παραουρηθρικές κύστεις. Αν δεν υπάρχει ή μίκρυνε, μάλλον δεν θα μπορείτε να την ψηλαφείτε πλέον.
