Ανάλογα με την ηλικία του παιδιού σας και το αν πηγαίνει σχολείο ή όχι, η απάντηση διαφέρει. Μια άλλη πολύ σημαντική πληροφορία εδώ είναι αν οι αμυγδαλίτιδες αυτές χρειάζονταν πράγματι αντιβίωση, δηλαδή αν έγινε κάποιο τεστ (Strep test ή καλλιέργεια) πριν τη χορήγηση αντιβίωσης.
Σε γενικές γραμμές ένα παιδί το οποίο έχει πράγματι αποδεδειγμένα (με τεστ/καλλιέργεια) χρειαστεί 5 ή περισσότερες φορές αντιβιοτική αγωγή για αμυγδαλίτιδα εντός των τελευταίων 12 μηνών (ή και βάσει κάποιων άλλων, λίγο πιο περίπλοκων χρονικών κριτηρίων), θα πρέπει να εξεταστεί και αξιολογηθεί από παιδο-ΩΡΛ. Τονίζω το ΠΑΙΔΟ-ΩΡΛ.
